Last night’s episode of Revenge was called, “Sabatoge”and showed how far these people are willing to go to try and destroy everyone around them. Oh, and the episode started with someone seemingly dead on the floor. With an infinity tattoo on their wrist. Ringing any bells? Let’s dig in.

The episode predominately revolved around Emily leading Daniel on even further as per the wishes of his loving mother. In an effort to get Daniel and all his powerful clientele in the same room — and help project a good image for Grayson Global — Emily invites them all to a wine auction for foster kids who have fallen through the cracks. Of course, Victoria is completely on board with this plan and it just so happens she has the perfect person to invite, longtime friend and Grayson Global rival, Jason.

Emily on the other hand has her eye on a different client that she’d like to have as her guest: Helen Crowley, of course. Luckily for her, she found out that Aiden had been in contact with her and because Ms. Crowley is also an expert in the bugging of a room, when Emily is pitching this whole idea to Daniel, he gets a phone call from her. Emily takes this as her opportunity to invite her, and Helen accepts. Clearly she is just as curious about Emily and Emily is about her.

She ends up coming to the auction but missing the bidding of millions of dollars for a bottle of wine. I am not joking, literally millions of dollars. Clearly he is too classy for a box of Franzia. Anyways, Daniel is the supplier of that huge cash load and ultimately outbids Jason which is exactly what Victoria wanted. You also get the impression Victoria wants something else to happen between her and Jason. It does. No, she doesn’t pull a Conrad (I guess one affair is enough for her) but she does “accidentally” drop some news to a man who has made it clear he’s a competitor of Grayson Global. You see earlier in the episode Emily was listening in on a conversation between Daniel and Helen. Helen wants him to acquire the company StoneHaven. Emily over hears this because she is the excellent snooper and calls Victoria to let her know. Victoria then uses this information at the auction as bait for Jason which he eagerly takes. That’s clearly going to end well.

Elsewhere, Jack is still in jail and Declan and Amanda are looking for ways to get him out. Declan tries to be a badass and stand up to the Ryans’ — not very convincing. Luckily for him, his girlfriend is a Grayson and Amanda is going to use that for all it’s worth. Luckily for her, they’re worth a lot. They go to Conrad who initially says no, but Ashley, yes Ashley, convinces him otherwise. After using the fact that she has enough secrets on the Graysons to bury them,  tells him helping Jack and Amanda out could actually be good for his image. Something clearly helpful since surprise, surprise, Conrad wants to get into politics. Perfect job for him, no?

Back at the party, Nolan was officially recruited to Team Aiden/Emily. Aiden, who is still being motivated by the idea of his sister being alive, takes the fact that Helen is there as an opportunity to seemingly get more information. Unfortunately, this pursuit is cut short when both Aiden and Helen get trapped in a gas-filled elevator. When they come to they are both tied and bound with hoods over their heads as a masked person threatens them at gunpoint. A mask that seems to be the same as the person lying on the floor in the beginning of the episode. Eventually Aiden escapes because he should be the next James Bond and shoots the masked person, unties Helen, and the two of them escape, but not before firing shots at yet another person in a mask.

Helen seems slightly  freaked out. Understandable since she’s normally the one harming others, not getting harmed. Aiden asks who she thinks their masked assailants were and she says she has some ideas. Luckily  Aiden has more than an idea of who they were. It was Nolan and Emily.  Yet after their antics, they were both dressed and ready for their next endeavors. Emily is meeting Daniel for a nightcap full of their million dollar bottle of wine, but are interrupted by Aiden coming to “collect his things.” Clearly, he doesn’t trust Emily as much as he claims he does because of this unexpected visit. Emily is not the only one who noticed. Daniel gets that kind of vibe too and decides it’s time for him to leave — but not before Emily, if only for a second, looks a little disappointed. Oh, what a tangled web.

Nolan on the other hand was trying to figure out what was keeping Padma — she’s back! — from the auction. She tells him that while she was back at NolCorp she overheard Marco on the phone with Daniel. The topic of conversation? Daniel seemed to have randomly had been clued into the program that was on the flash drive Marco gave Nolan last episode. But who clued him in? Nolan clearly think it’s Marco because why should he trust ‘em? But Marco claims he’s not involved in any of this. He’s trying to get back on his good graces. So he tells Nolan to check his phone, his emails, whatever. Of course Nolan does and what do ya know? There’s an email from him to Daniel. Call me crazy, but you’d think someone who was once the CFO of a company would cover his tracks better than that. My suspicions turned out to be right because at the end of the episode we finally saw Padma’s true colors. She is working for Helen basically as her mole. So in one fell swoop she proved that Nolan just can’t catch a break and  that you can’t trust anyone on this show.

Some leftovers: Do you think Helen really thought they were kidnapped? Do you think Emily still cares for Daniel? Were you shocked by Padma’s true intentions? Do you think there’s more to the story?
