The latest episode of Revenge was called revelations and it truly did reveal the true intentions of some of the Hampton’s biggest players. This pretty much happens every week, but nonetheless it lived up to it’s name and set things up for what looks like one hell of an hour when Revenge returns. So, let’s dig in!

The episode pretty much revolved around the ‘changing of the guards’ when it comes to Grayson Global. It kicked off when everyone was dressed like they were hunters from back when Pilgrims were around. While there, we met a man named Salvador Grobet who is a key player in deciding who ultimately will run Grayson Global. Nolan’s there too as a way to make the seizing of NolCorp look more credible. Emily apologizes to him for losing his company, and he tells her that he has something up his sleeve. I have to admit, it’s nice to see Emily clueless about someone’s endgame for once. Nolan agreed.

Cut to later when Daniel calls a meeting with Nolan, but Aidan is noticeably absent. Someone who isn’t? Nolan’s ex Marco who is there to basically manipulate Nolan into giving Daniel 51% of the company a.k.a. to have the majority interest. It works. Nolan doesn’t want people looking into where that huge sum of money went, but rest assured he has a plan. As he so perfectly puts it, “It’s easier to destroy a castle from inside the walls.” It also results in Marco potentially getting his job back. Someone who is not happy about Marco being around, Padma. And Revenge just got yet another love triangle folks!

Outside of all this business talk, other shady deals are coming to the surface. Amid all the chaos, Jack and Amanda are having a christening for baby Carl. Of course this requires Emily to show up and fulfill her Godmother-ly duties. This moment was interesting. First you have the priest baptizing the baby and telling her to shield it from evil ..as he’s in Emily’s arms. But it’s the part when Emily looks over and sees Jack and Amanda, so in love and so in love with their baby that breaks her heart. And I’m not going to lie, mine a little bit too. That could have been her. That should have been her. And it doesn’t go unnoticed. As Emily leaves, Amanda chases after her and says she can have that once she stops ruining lives. Emily tells her she’s not ruining lives, she’s righting wrongs. Fair enough, but still, they seem kind of similar to me, no? Then Amanda asks the question we’ve all been wondering: When does it end?

In preparing for the christening, Jack used his father’s address book to invite some guests, among them was good ‘ol Matt Duncan. It’s safe to say that when he arrived and saw the Ryan brothers lurking in the background he was not a happy camper. He told Jack to get out of their deal as soon as possible. This later led to Jack asking Nolan to do a little research on them. Why Jack cant just Google them himself is beyond me. Anyways, Nolan finds that they are in fact super shady and related to Joe Ryan. This apparently is all it takes for Jack to connect the dots (apparently them having the same last name and ‘helping’ with the bar all for nothing weren’t good enough clues). Unfortunately, he doesn’t find it out quick enough because they are interrupted by Charlotte screaming that there’s a man bleeding outside. It’s Mr. Duncan. He tells Jack it was the Ryans’, and that he was the one responsible for killing their father with the gun his dad hid The Amanda. He tells them the Ryans want revenge. They should team up with Emz! Either way they end up showing up at the bar later, and Jack pretends to know nothing. Hey, maybe he’s smarter than he looks! One thing he does know is that his dad hid the gun used to kill Joe Ryan on The Amanda. He finds it.

Back over at Grayson Global, Conrad and Victoria are pulling out all the stops to try and make Daniel not go forward with his plan. And when I say all the stops, I mean all the stops. Their first pawn in the game: Ashley. You see, earlier Ashley was trying to turn Daniel against Aidan using the power of, um, persuasion. Unfortunately for her, Emily already caught her in the act, only it wasn’t with Daniel. Nope, it was with Mr. Grayson. Keepin’ it in the family, Ash! Very classy. Ashley tries to explain that it was when her and Daniel were broken up, but clearly she’s never watched Friends and learned that this isn’t a reasonable excuse. Either way, this information is sent to Victoria and instead of getting mad, she gets even. She sends Ashley over to Mr. Grobet’s hotel room to try and sway his vote. Only problem is that Daniel was tipped off by a little birdie named Aidan and walks into the room to find them in their fancy white robes. Daniel is p-i-s-s-e-d, and genuinely looks hurt. He takes a picture and makes it clear that he’ll release it if Grobet doesn’t side with him at the meeting. That my friend is a move straight out of the Grayson Playbook.

Cue the day of the meeting, and Victoria realizes that their plan with Ashley backfired. So she pulls the card she’s been playing from day one: protection. She tells Daniel that if he does this he’ll be in danger, but when he asks her what kind of danger she says she can’t say. She tells him to trust her. He laughed, I laughed harder. With a track record like hers there’s no shot.

In the end, Daniel is the CEO of Grayson Global. His first order of business?  Sending Aidan packing. Well, like father like son, right? However you soon learn Daniel should have listened to his mama because while admiring a ‘welcoming gift’ we see that it’s really a camera — Emily Thorne style — giving The Initiative full access to his every move. Hopefully they didn’t see him deleting all the pictures of him and Ashley, but saving the ones he STILL had of him and Em. That would have been embarrassing. Its cute that he saved them, but while he’s mourning the past, Emily is wondering if her and Aidan could ever be happy — if they weren’t super spy assassins and all. Their moment is interrupted when Emily gets a call from none other than Victoria. What does she want? We have to wait till January(!) to find out.

Some leftovers: Were you shocked that Ashley slept with Conrad? Do you think the gun Jack found will be related to the sinking of The Amanda? What do you think is Nolan’s big plan? Are Victoria and Emily going to team up?
