The latest episode of Revenge was titled Lineage which makes sense since we finally had a chance to go down one side of the Grayson’s family tree. That;s right we got to meet the original Queen B V. This episode was all about the flashbacks and since we’re all about the leftovers (and it was Thanksgiving in the episode) let’s dig in!

In this episode we got a glimpse into the past that actually explained a lot of why Victoria is the way she is in present time. And it’s all  courtesey of Daniel being home for Thanksgiving break in 2006. Daniel returns with two pieces of news. The first being he wants to be a poet. Of course Conrad  isn’t having this and pretends to be all supportive, but in reality plans to have publishers send Daniel rejection letters so that he stays on track to be part of Grayson Global. He really is such a sweet father. The second thing Daniel brings is Victoria’s mother, Marion. This woman puts Victoria to shame. She arrived at the Graysons’ ready for a big turkey day meal and brought with her a plus one. Victoria isn’t that pleased with this and we soon learn why. You see, Victoria was extremely pretty as a young girl and many of her mother’s husbands took an interest. Marion did nothing, but Victoria chose to reveal her mothers’ ugly past at dinner while Ben (her plus one) was there. Marion just wanted her to seem normal. Clearly she hasn’t been to a meal at the Graysons.

Outside of the Grayson’s we got the origin of two of Emilys relationships. We see Emily doing a side mission for Takeda which is to try and find a young girl. This causes Em to strut her way into a swanky club only to see a good-looking bartender: Aiden. He mistakes her for a call girl. Not the smoothest first move, but it’s fine. While with the girls we see where Ashley got her start. Yep, before she was trying to get in with Hampton’s elite, Ashley was a call girl just trying to make ends meet. Luckily for her a random stranger, and by stranger I mean Emily, handed her a wad of cash and told her never to return. With Ashley gone, Em is free to take her place and get some facetime with the man of the hour. However, it’s not until she returns that she gets the facetime she wanted with a man named Dimitri. (Sidenote: this man always plays this role. He tried to kill Prentiss from Criminal Minds, too!) Anyways, Aiden continuslously tries to get her to leave. It’s for good reason too since moments later Aiden pulls a gun and fires. Emily knocks him over so he misses, but Aiden is taken away and handcuffed to a pole. In true fashion, Emily doesn’t want to leave Aiden there and comes to the rescue. So, why did Aiden want to kill the man? Turns out he’s responsible for the disappearing of someone pretty important to him, his sister. Who also happens to be the young girl Takeda wanted Emily to find out information on.

Over at The Stowaway we learn that the Porters just never had good luck with their bar. Even back in the day they were facing people trying to steal it from them and damaging it. So much so, that even back then they were being taunted by someone with the last name Ryan (Ring a bell?). Papa Porter was ready to pay him his due (or off), when his friend came and shot him. That’s one way to get out of paying, but clearly Jack and Declan are paying for it six years later with the latest Mr. Ryan. So maybe not so much.

Also having some money issues is Nolan. We get to see Nolan announce that NolCorp is going public, and we also see him with his CFO, Marco, who just also happens to be his boyfriend. So Tyler wasn’t the first!  Unfortunately, this romance is short-lived when Marco realizes that a huge sum of money is missing from their accounts. Of course Nolan knows where it is (Sup, Em), but he can’t devulge everything to Marco. So, now Nolan isn’t only out a huge chunk of change, but he’s down a boyfriend too. Flash to the present and who happens to be giving Marco a ring with some news regarding NolCorp? Why, Daniel Grayson of course.

Back at the Grayson’s we get the tale of how Grandma Grayson, okay fine her name is Marion, met Ben. It was on a cruise and the whole thing sounded like such a tale of fate it could have been planned by the Gods. Well, it kinda was. But it was reallly the devils a.k.a. The Graysons themselves. Yep, they arranged the whole thing. How these people have the energy to execute plans like this is beyond me, but considering Marion allowed Victoria to get sexually assaulted by husband number two and forced her to kill husband number one (her father), I’ll side with Victoria on this one. Great dinner conversation, right? Oh, I just had my daugther kill my husband so he wouldn’t leave us. Coud you pass the gravy? Safe to say Marion isn’t pleased, and Ben either — he storms out. Marion tries to get her daughters pity but she isn’t having it. She has the nerve to call Victoria vindictive and it’s clear the trait is genetic. Victoria kicks her to the curb and basically tells her to have a nice life. Thanks for coming!

Cut back to the bar and for saving Aiden it turns out she got something in return.  She learns there is a definite connection between Aiden and his family and what happened to her father. Well, things just got interesting. Aiden decides to go after Dimitri, and Emily stops him from killing him. If he’s dad he can’t get any information on his sister. But Dimitri keeps taunting him and Aiden chooses to pull the trigger. Flash forward to the present and we see the two love birds in bed having some pillow talk. The first clue things are getting serious? He calls her Amanda. Second? She lets him. And then, third, as if opening her heart wasn’t enough, she opens her infinity box. I’m happy she’s finally finding someone, but something about this seems too good to be true.

Some leftovers: What did you think about how Emily and Aiden got their start? What do you think Daniel wants with Marco? Does anything the Graysons’ do shock you? Should Jack just give up The Stowaway at this point?
