The episode started with Victoria wondering the same question we all were: why does Aiden want to take down someone who he was  once in love with? His answer is simple: she betrayed him and he wants revenge. But Victoria isn’t sure she can trust him yet so he tells her to look into Nolan and Emily, and she does.

Speaking of the two of them, Emily shows up at Nolan’s house with her infinity box and tells Nolan who their next victim is going to be. Cue the red sharpie! The target is Paul Whitley, a former Grayson Global employee who is now working for an even higher power– the church. Naturally, Emily sees this as the perfect opportunity. With her and Daniel’s wedding approaching they need a priest and who better to officiate than someone she can take down and make both Victoria and Conrad uncomfortable?Unfortunately, this plan backfires a bit when Emily realizes that he actually is a good person. He makes it a point every day to try and atone for his sins, and the sins he did against David Clarke were the main reasons why he got involved with the church in the first place.

After doing his research, Nolan agrees. He tells Emily that Father Pau is a good man and urges her to reconsider her plans, but Emily is still hellbent on her revenge — so Nolan goes for the heart. He uses the words from her father’s journals against her. He hopes that “one day she’ll be able to do the one thing that he couldn’t: forgive.”

Elsewhere, Jack is using a red sharpie of his own — see they are meant to be! Granted his is for a receipt at The Stowaway, but that’s besides the point. He’s interrupted by Charlotte who finally brings up Declan’s death, but still doesn’t look that upset about it. One thing she is upset about is Emily betraying her trust. She puts two and two together that Emily was the one who leaked the information about her mother’s affair. She tells Emily she was one of the only people she could trust but now that’s gone. Upset, Emily in turn goes to Jack and asks him to try and talk to Charlotte — something is bothering her (besides her betrayal) and she wants to make sure she’s okay. Jack does just that. After Charlotte wonders why bad things keep happening to such good people (really, Charlotte?) she comes clean: if she hadn’t lied to Declan he wouldn’t have been in Grayson Global. She blames herself for his death. Jack tries to convince her that it wasn’t her fault, but she wont hear it — but he is able to get her to stop with one piece of news. He lets her know that Conrad was responsible for the bomb. Safe to say things aren’t looking good for Conrad these days.

After confronting her dad, she hits Conrad where it truly hurts — she hopes he dies. Luckily for her, Emily is trying to speed along that process. Apparently, lady walks around with vials just waiting for moments to drug him — and the perfect opportunity presented itself. Victoria decided to finally introduce Patrick to the family, and the dinner did not go well. Daniel is rude. Conrad is condescending and Patrick learns the truth about when he came searching for Victoria when he was 18. It wasn’t Conrad who hired Frank to hurt him, it was his loving mother. For whatever reason, Patrick decides to overlook it. One thing he wont overlook is Emily’s history with Victoria. Apparently Victoria has filled him all in and he wants nothing to do with her — so that pawn will not be working in Emily’s game-plan — at least for now.

Speaking of working, Daniel and Margot are officially business partners. They went to look at some locations and Daniel was taken by the breathtaking view. Margot decided to give him something else to look at by stripping down in her office. Unfortunately for her Daniel declined that offer, but accepted the job offer — only if they can work in Montauk. He wants to be close to his family and this allows the perfect opportunity.

The episode ended with Emily having a crisis of conscious. Not only did she feel guilty about what she did to Father Paul (she passed along some scandalous pictures), she also bumped into Conrad in a church of all places. How the church didn’t burst into flames with the two of them in there is beyond me. Conrad looked lost and upset and realized that this may be his karma, and that the sins of his past are finally catching up to him. Hearing these words, a new fold enters Emily’s plan. She thinks she has  way to not only fix what she did to Father Paul, but take down Conrad in the process. If she can re-instate Father Paul, maybe he could get Conrad to confess — to everything.

Some leftovers: Do you think Emily is starting to regret some of her plans? Do you think Aiden is really now Team Victoria? Do you think this new plan of Emily’s is going to work?
