The latest episode of Revenge started with Jack shirtless and holding a baby. Note: all episodes should now start this way. Of course this is the perfect opportunity for Margot to show up and ask Jack to be her date to her magazine launch party. At first Jack declines, but Margot is persuasive and he finally agrees to get a sitter for Carl.

Speaking of the magazine, Margot shows Daniel where they’re at in terms of the profile the magazine is doing on Daniel and Emily’s wedding. The only problem is Margot doesn’t have any information on Emily’s past, and as Daniel finally begins to realize, neither does he. Margot says even a picture would work, it would be something, but Daniel hasn’t even seen a photo of Emily’s family. What’s the saying? “A picture’s worth a thousand words,” well in this case, the absence of one is speaking volumes.

As if that wasn’t enough of a strain on their relationship, Victoria is using anything possible to try and make this wedge even deeper between Daniel and Emily – and she uses a new piece of information to her advantage. Charlotte fills her mother in that Emily has still been dropping by The Stowaway. So, on the day of Daniel’s launch party – where Emily should be standing by Daniel’s side supporting him — Victoria makes a quick stop at Emily’s to let her know that there’s been a development. Conrad found out that someone is trying to sabotage him (a.k.a kill him) and he suspects Jack. Cut to Emily running to The Stowaway to warn him, but as it turns out, Jack has already been warned.

You see, Jack returned home to find a stranger in his home. Of course, we know what Aiden looks like but this is their first encounter together. But what is he doing there? Well, at first we as the viewers aren’t really sure. Aiden is playing the puppet to both Victoria, Conrad, and if we’re being honest, Emily – but where do his loyalties really lie? Aiden told Conrad he’d take care of Jack and make sure he rots in a cell. Aiden did not tell Emily he was making this visit to Jack’s. So when Emily goes to warn Jack she not only learns that Aiden went to visit him, but that Aiden told Jack to flee the Hamptons and never come back. Emily sees this as jealousy, but it’s really a warning. Jack may be a good guy, but he made enemies with a bad one. Unfortunately,  Jack isn’t having it. He brings Carl somewhere safe, but says he’s staying. Emily brought him into this and he’s in it for the long haul now. Of course all of this happens while both Jack and Emily should be at the magazine launch. Safe to say their dates aren’t going to be too pleased.

Cut to the party, where Emily strolls in super late and becomes the last straw for Daniel. He tells her he feels like he’s the only one fighting for them. He basically did this magazine to prove to her that he can be his own man, but now it feels like he’s just a role in a story she’s writing. Sometimes Daniel can be so much more than a pretty face, amirite? And so, Daniel says the words that Emily has been dreading to hear: the wedding is off. So, when your fake engagement gets called off (again) where does a girl go? To her bestie’s house of course! We get a nice close up shot of Emily’s diamond rock as she tells Nolan she doesn’t know what to do. She can’t stand to be in the same room as Daniel, so how is she going to save the relationship? So, like a good best friend, Nolan offers some advice. He tells her what Daniel wants is the one thing she can’t give: an actual piece of herself. Nolan knows all about this considering earlier in the episode Patrick called him out on going to see his ex-wife, but Nolan later apologized and basically tells him the truth: he’s wired differently than most people, but he would love another chance. It’s safe to say that Patrick gives him one considering their make out session later in the episode.

Elsewhere Margot confronts Jack on bailing on her, and Jack gives her a half-truth – there was an intruder. Margot immediately feels like an idiot, but all is forgiven as they too kiss and make up. But what about Conrad’s wish to make Jack suffer? Well, Aiden finally picked a master and decided to “help” Victoria over Conrad. You see, Aiden knows that Emily went to check on Jack instead of being there to support Daniel – once again, she is letting her emotions for him get in the way of her plans, but Aiden’s loyalty still doesn’t waver. When Victoria asks if Emily did go see Jack, Aiden lies and says no – one thing he is forthcoming about? Whoever broke into the garage and messed with Conrad’s brakes had access to the code. It was one of your children, he tells her, and Victoria looks completely shocked.

Victoria walks into Conrad’s room, visibly shaken, and tells him that she knows who tried to kill him and in walks Charlotte. Conrad is destroyed. Charlotte tells him she was so angry when she learned about his role in Declan’s death that she went crazy, but never fear! Conrad is a murderer, and he loves his daughter anyway, so all is forgiven,  and as they hug the non-verbal exchange between Victoria and Charlotte makes you know something is not as it seems. Turns out, we’re right. Charlotte only took the fall to protect Jack, but as it also turns out, Patrick may be the culprit.

With the pieces of the puzzle finally going back in place, Emily apologizes to Aiden for accusing him of being disloyal and making him feel used. His reward? Hearing Emily say that she means so much more to him and sealing the promise with a kiss.  Then right after, because Emily is oh so classy, she returns home to find Daniel packing and gives him some of her own baggage. She shows him a photo of her and her family when she was younger and explains that her past makes it hard for her to trust, but she wants nothing more then to get married to him. This is enough for Daniel because guess what folks, the wedding is back on!

Some leftovers: Do you think Patrick really cut the brakes? Does Emily really have feelings for Aiden or is this just another part of her plan? Do you trust Margot? Are you happy Daniel and Emily are back on?
