EMILY VANCAMP, BRIAN HALLISAY

On Sunday’s Revenge, we got an even bigger clue as to what David Clarke is really doing back in the Hamptons. So without further adieu, it’s time to dig in.

The episode opened with us learning that Victoria is the queen of attempting the great escape..or at least in her imagination. She wakes up in the back of David Clarke’s truck—probably not in the way she would have wanted back in the day—and he brings her to the spot where he’s been hiding out all this time. For our purposes we’ll call it his lair, but is he there to hurt her or try and give it another go?

Elsewhere, we got confirmation on two things. The first: Gideon is in fact an ass. The second: Charlotte is in fact an idiot. She walks in on him fooling around with another girl. Charlotte is devastated and the other girl confirms what we all know: she’s kind of pathetic. Charlotte does get a good slap in before she goes, but that’s the extent of her boldness—at least for now.

Elsewhere, Emily is trying to re-ignite her sisterly bond with Charlotte by having a GPS locator placed on her. Naturally. After getting the coordinates from Nolan he tells her that she should literally see Charlotte. It’s like they’re on top of each other. Then, remember that bold choice that was mentioned earlier? Yeah, this is it. Emily looks up and there is Charlotte standing at the edge of the roof looking like she just might jump. Up Emily runs as she tells Charlotte not to do it and that she’ll try harder. Charlotte is not convinced and just as she puts her leg over the railing, she’s tackled back onto the roof by Jack’s partner. When they’re all back on solid ground, Jack’s partner takes an interest in this situation. He wants to know what Emily was doing there and makes it known how much of a coincidence that was. Something he also makes it clear that he has an interest in? Emily.

Back over at the lair we learn the true nature of David’s visit: he wants to give it another shot with Victoria. He believes that Conrad had brainwashed Victoria and manipulated her into everything that happened with the flight and everything since. Victoria being the con artist she is, goes along with it. He also tells her that he wants to be there for Charlotte since he learned it was too late for Amanda. We notice that Victoria also doesn’t correct him that his real daughter is in fact still alive.

Speaking of his daughters who are alive, after her near death experience, Jack brings Charlotte to be with family..and he doesn’t mean him. She goes to Emily’s house and Emily drops a truth bomb on her: she is in fact her sister. She is Amanda Clarke. Yup, she wet there. Was anyone else shocked by this? We know seeing Charlotte literally ready to take her own life shook Emily to her core, but did it all of a sudden mean that they can truly trust each other? Emily apparently thought so. Charlotte? Not so much. Even after Emily shows her the infinity box.

Charlotte’s other sibling on-the-other hand is getting back to his manipulative ways and teaming up with Margot in the process. Their target? Gideon. After an unsuccessful attempt to make him late for a big meeting, they are able to plant drugs on him, and get him out of the picture..for now. So how do Daniel and Margot celebrate their victory? Finally hooking up.

Back over to Victoria and Conrad, they are on their way to reconnecting. David confesses that he killed Conrad, but that he only did it for her. Victoria is no stranger to sensing someone’s vulnerability and using it to her advantage, so she sees her opportunity and takes it. She tells David that someone else has been after her, knowing that he’d be all too willing to hurt someone else for her. “What’s her name then?” he asks.Emily Thorne. The only problem? Charlotte is already on her way to hurt her.

The episode ended with Emily getting a call from Charlotte. This was moments after Nolan told her to just give Charlotte some time to digest the information. So off Emily goes to The Stowaway where Charlotte tells her she wrote her a letter to explain how she feels and as Emily is reading Charlotte knocks her unconscious. If that wasn’t enough, she sets fire to the rain, bar and leaves Emily lying inside as it goes up in flames.

Some leftovers: Do you think David’s intentions are clear? Do you think he’ll recognize Amanda if he were to see her? Were you happy Daniel and Margot finally hooked up? Who will be the one to save Amanda? Or will she get saved?
