On last night’s episode of Revenge we learned that Emily is not the only one who now has a master plan for Revenge, Victoria apparently has one too. So what is it? Let’s dig in.

The episode started with Emily still lying unconscious in The Stowaway as it is literally burning up in flames. Jack comes running to the scene of the crime where the same man who saw Charlotte, tells him not to worry, nobody is inside. But because the bar holds so many memories for Jack, he runs in anyway. It’s a good thing too since he sees Emily on the floor and is able to carry her to safety.

When Emily finally comes too, the police understandably want to know how this happened. Now as viewers we see this as the perfect opportunity for Emily to get instant revenge, we learn that Emily is sticking to her word: she is going to do better for Charlotte. So, she tells the cop she was walking by the bar, saw the fire, and ran in thinking she’d be able to put it out. Personally don’t find that too convincing, but to each their own.

Victoria is also stepping up for Charlotte, and as always, I use that term loosely. After a super cold interaction with Daniel, he basically tells her he wants nothing to do with her and lets her know they are pretty much broke. He also slips in there that Charlotte is addicted to drugs and tried to kill herself. Subtle. So off, Victoria goes to try and console Charlotte who instantly confesses to snapping and attempting to kill Emily. So instead of seeing this as a red flag that her daughter needs help, Victoria chooses this moment to add on another level of crazy. She tells Charlotte that her father, David Clarke, is still alive..and they’ll be staying together as a family now.

Back over to Emily, Nolan can’t believe that Emily is choosing to just sit pretty and not exact revenge on Charlotte. He also can’t believe that she isn’t freaking out that her security system is down while her arch nemesis is back on the streets, but Emily has bigger things on her mind: making things right with Charlotte and checking in on Jack and The Stowaway.

Speaking of The Stowaway, while Jack is standing in the remains of his bar, he gets a visitor. He quickly places him as the man who told him that the bar was empty, and would have been the reason Emily died. As he’s yelling, the man quickly tells him that he was only repeating what the girl who ran out of the bar told him. A girl who looked familiar, she may have worked at The Stowaway last summer. And with that Jack quickly realizes what happened: it was Charlotte. We later learn that both he and Emily are choosing to see the fire at The Stowaway as an accident and that Jack doesn’t think he’ll be rebuilding it anytime soon. He does however save a photo of him and Emily that hung by the register for decades. Then he gives it to Emily. This moment really just made me want them to confess their love for each other right then and there. Their chemistry is still so good.

Anyways, as if Charlotte’s week wasn’t emotional enough, we cut to the cabin in the woods where Victoria, David, and now Charlotte are staying as one big happy family. The moment where Charlotte and David meet was truly heartwarming, but you can tell Victoria is really trying to force the bond. She can only continue to manipulate David if he is really on her side, and using her daughter as a pawn is once again the easiest approach. This comes in handy since Emily, on her quest to tell Charlotte that things are okay, shows up at said cabin in the woods and is instantly held up at gunpoint by none other than Victoria. Staring down the eye of the barrel, Emily tells Victoria she isn’t going anywhere and yells to Charlotte, who is eavesdropping from the window, that she isn’t going to say anything. As Victoria clocks the gun, Emily tells her to do it, just end it all right there, but Victoria puts the gun down. She decides to give Emily a warning instead:  she owes her so much more than a quick death, buckle up sweetheart.  So Emily heads back down the dirt road, to find Jack’s partner lurking by her car. Once again, he is a little too interested in Emily and wants to know why she was there. She tells him she likes to clear her head in the woods, so he sees his opportunity and takes it: should she ever want some company in the woods, she should let him know. Emily quickly tells him that she most likely never will. Ouch.

When Emily returns home, Nolan can’t believe how casual she is being about being held at gunpoint and almost dying. But Emily is confident that Victoria wouldn’t have shot her, not just because of what she said, but how she sad it. It was a warning. For three years Emily has been able to anticipate and manipulate Victoria’s every move, but or the first time she can’t. It’s safe to say Victoria’s warning was heard loud and clear.

Back at the cabin, David is furious that Emily was able to find them that quickly, and Victoria tells him that’s just what she does. It’s why she’s such a danger to them. She tells him she’s going to go into town to try and get some resources for them and as David asks to come with her, she tells him he needs to protect their daughter. So off she goes to try and get them some money. Where does she go? To Margot. She sweetly tells her that she’s always been part of the family and that she’ll always be like a daughter to her. Perfect timing since she and Daniel are sleeping together and seem to be on track to becoming something more. So naturally, Margot offers to loan Victoria some money. Rookie mistake.

Unfortunately for Margot, it appears Daniel isn’t going to be staying too faithful. While sitting at the hotel bar drowning his sorrows in the fact that no finance firm in Manhattan wants to hire him and he’s officially homeless, roomless, when a pretty southern belle walks into the bar. We of course know her as Louise, Victoria’s ‘friend’ from the mental institution. We also know that earlier in the episode, Victoria blew her off again for her own selfish agenda. So it’s safe to say this meeting is coincidental, but of course Daniel doesn’t know that. However, it doesn’t stop him from giving her his undivided, uh, attention.

The episode ends with David Clarke ignoring Victoria’s request to stay with Charlotte and sneaking over to Grayson Manor. While there, we see Nolan still fiddling with the security system trying to get it to work and just as he does he sees a hooded man in Emily’s room. Inside the room, David is standing over Emily’s body, knife in hand, when we see the look of recognition cross his face and stop him in his tracks. However, he’s quickly forced to move when Nolan takes a shot at him and he jumps off the balcony and runs for freedom leaving Emily and Nolan wondering who it was that just broke in.

Some leftovers: Did you think Victoria was going to pull the trigger? Do you feel bad for Charlotte or are you over the drama? Were you shocked Emily and Jack didn’t turn her in? What do you think Louise’s game plan is? What do you think Emily is going to do when she realizes her father is alive?
