On the latest episode of Revenge, David and Emily finally had a conversation that was long overdue. So what was said? Let’s dig in.

With Victoria still unconscious, David is by his side asking Emily to call 911. Of course, Emily doesn’t react, but David is able to bring her back to consciousness with some good-old-fashioned CPR. When the ambulance finally comes, Victoria is loaded in and David tells Emily not to worry about freezing, he completely understands she was in shock. Emily wastes no time in telling him, that she wasn’t in shock..it was a choice. So David makes a choice of his own. Instead of reconnecting with the daughter he just found out was still alive and is asking why he never came for her, he hops in the ambulance with Victoria.

Nolan on the other hand is sitting in his newly purchased establishment when he gets a visit from Jack who has been wondering why he and Emily have been avoiding him. He finally gets Nolan talking after he tells Nolan that he knows Emily planted the knife, but still has one question: did Emily kill the guy too? Nolan tells him it wasn’t Emily..but it was someone else they know: Charlotte. As if that wasn’t enough for Jack, it turns out the FBI is now investigating Conrad’s case making things all the more complicated. When Ben finds out the FBI is there to investigate, he immediately offers his services, but unfortunately for him, they want to work with Jack instead. It’s safe to say Ben doesn’t take this news well at all.

Cut to Jack and the lady FBI agent celebrating that the David Clarke case has finally been solved. And by celebrating I mean, drinks that looks more like a date than anything else. While there,Ben gets rowdy at the same bar and Jack warns him he’s going to loose his badge, so ultimately Ben goes home. So how was Jack and the FBI able to solve the case so quickly? Well their first stop was interviewing David Clarke. Why? Because the Feds have a feeling the evidence with the dad man was planted. Obviously, Jack has the same thought but Emily promises him (and ultimately David) that the weapon would be traced back to Conrad. She made sure of it. Apparently, lady is good at her job, because that ends up being the case..and that case is closed.

Unfortunately for Emily, the break in the case is about the only thing going good for her and David’s relationship. After finally getting him alone Emily asks him how he could have been close enough to take the photos of Amanda but never come to her rescue. He claims that he never saw the photos until he locked them away..and she ultimately stole them. We as viewers of course know that the man Charlotte killed, was the one showing those photos to David when he was being held captive, a fact that he lied to both Jack and the FBI about earlier in the episode. This conversation takes a turn for the worst when Emily asks David how he can side with Victoria after everything she’s done, and not with her when she devoted her entire life to protecting him. His response? He never asked her to do that. His words are even more harsh when Victoria admits that she knew Emily was really Amanda and chose not to tell him. So basically it’s not exactly the heart-to-heart Emily has been waiting for.

Someone else who is dealing with a broken heart? Margot. She refuses to deal with Daniel after his little fling with Louise, and is even less happy with the fact that a psychopath is seemingly trying to kill her. What makes matters even worse? She fell in love with Daniel, a statement that for some reason takes Daniel by surprise. We later learn it’s because he didn’t think he was capable of having real feelings anymore, and he blames it, not really on Emily, but on his mother and father being the ultimate cautionary tale. A fact that’s proven when Daniel and Emily have a little chat at the beach house where he takes a dig at Emily for seemingly giving up after one try with her father, and is having this conversation instead of going to visit his mother in the hospital. But of course it’s not really Victoria he should be worried about anymore..it’s Louise.

After another hallucinatory conversation with her mother, she’s given the idea to get pregnant by Daniel and become part of the family, and her smirk at a doctor in the hospital makes you think she may be looking to team up with someone else to help make it happen. It’s clear she can’t make it happen on her own even when she sneaks into the shower with Daniel to try and seduce him yet again. We’re watching Louise’s downward spiral happen before our very eyes..and Margot knows it’s coming and is ready to take action. She goes to Nolan for his hacking skills to unseal her records, but Nolan thinks he’s a good judge of character and says no. So later when he’s having some martinis with Miss. Louise he’s shocked to see photos of Louise photoshopped with Victoria confirming what Margot said was true and goes to her ready to make a deal: he has a plan to attack Victoria and ultimately, wants to rebuild his name.

The episode ends with Emily heading back to the hospital and as she’s entering the hospital sees files and photos on a passenger seat car. Cut to Victoria’s hospital room when David is getting attacked by two men dressed as doctors. Luckily Emily is underneath the bed and slides out and is able to unarm the men and save David before he pulls the alarm and security rushes in. They enter just after Emily runs out of the room and tells David that she was never there. He’s left agreeing to her request and ultimately wondering when his daughter became a ninja. The two eventually meet up again where David thanks Emily for what he did. He knows he didn’t deserve it after how he spoke to her, but he is so proud of the woman she’s become, but not necessarily the things she’s done. Emily again tries to assure him that she can protect him from whoever those people are, but he tells her this is his mess and it’s time for him to finally protect her. Emily seemingly agrees to let him handle it, a fact she confirms to Nolan, but we see her cut the security tapes in her home and enter a room where one of the man who tried to assault her father is bound in a chair and about to get tortured.

Some leftovers: What do you think Emily is going to do to the man? Who was the guys who really captured Daniel? Are you scared of what Louise may do to Daniel? What does Nolan have in store for Victoria?
