Unless you’re living under a rock, chances are you’ve heard of Revenge. If not, here’s the quick summary: It’s all about a girl trying to get revenge on the people who ultimately murdered her father. Filled with twists, back-stabs, and a killer wardrobe, it was definitely one of last year’s biggest breakout hits.
Well, with all of the talk of daddy issues and vengeance, one pivotal character wasn’t mentioned a lot: Mrs. Clarke. But it was for good reason. You see, all us viewers, and it turns out Amanda/Emily, thought she was dead. It wasn’t until the season finale that we got a bomb dropped almost as explosive as that plane Victoria was boarding: Amanda’s mother is alive.
So, who is she? Well E! Online confirmed that the sure-to-be-intense- character of Mrs. Clarke will be played by Jennifer Jason Leigh. Clearly, Mommy Dearest isn’t going to be a laid back character that’s ecstatic to be reunited with her daughter. This is Revenge were talking about. And Emily had to get her badassness from somewhere, right?
