The latest episode of Revenge was titled, Forgiveness, which is kind of perfect considering the circumstance. I’m going to need you to forgive me. Hurricane Sandy made it a little difficult to get a post out, so just in case some of you guys missed it too, let’s dig in!

Victoria was busy clipping rose petals when guess who walks in, Kara Clarke.Well, every rose has its thorn right? Kara embraces Victoria and after exchanging a few pleasantries, yes pleasantries, she inquires about Gordon Murphy and where he might be. I’d want to know where my husband was too. Eventually Victoria finds this as werid as I do, and makes a call to Conrad who just happens to be sitting with Aidan. He excuses himself, but not before Aidan voices his concern about Takeda’s involvement with Grayson Global. Naturally, Conrad doesn’t want to deal with it and passes the issue over to Daniel.

During their meeting Ashley comes in and tells them that someone has flagged David Clarke’s file. Later on, due to Aidan also being a master of the phonetap, he listens in as the person who flagged the file comes in: Padma. So what’s the relevance? Well, after a lot of business jargon we learn that because of David Clarke, Grayson Global may have a controlling interest in NolCorp. I’m not sure what Aiden has against Nolan, but jealousy really doesn’t look good on him. And lets face it..most things do. Aidan passes this info along to Emily, who (after feeling guilty for not being there for Nolan when his dad died) wants to make sure he knows. It ends up being perfect timing, because Nolan and Padma were getting all romantical on the beach. Safe to say that was a mood killer.

Back at the Graysons’, Victoria  invited Kara to stay. She thinks she is the one behind all of the things that have been happening to her. They bond over the fact that they fell deception to David, and as it turns out, Gordon Murphy. The fact that Victoria can even say the word deception makes me laugh every time. Just as Victoria is about to inquire more, cue Charlotte always interrupting everything and letting them know Amanda was awake. But guess who is already at the hospital? Her real daughter.

While at the hospital, Emily offers her house for Amanda and baby Carl. I mean she did get the girl tossed over a balcony, so it really is the least she can do. But she did apologize for it, so there’s that. Then as she’s holding Carl, she comes face to face with none other than her mom. This could potentially have thrown everything Revenge-y she has done out the window. But luckily for the show, not so much for her, her mother doesn’t recognize her. Ouch. Kara mentions how Carl “knows his family” which is ironic because clearly she doesn’t. As Emily is trying to get details from her past they are interrupted. By who you may ask? Mason Treadwell. Wait. What?

Yep. He came back to figure out why all of a sudden Amanda was welcomed into the Graysons’. Fair enough. Kara being there? That was just a bonus. He also pays a visit to Victoria who is searching for something in Kara’s room. Mason is searching for something too: the truth about her kidnapping story, but the Kara story trumps it. She poses her normal threats about how it could destroy him too, but as usual Mason is unfazed. Eventually she finds what she was looking for, Kara’s cellphone. Whose number is the only one on it? Gordon Murphy. She runs to Conrad freaking out that too many people know their lies. So what does Conrad  propose to do? Well, he actually proposes. Wait! It’s not as random as you think. You see, if they’re married they can’t testify against each other in a court of law. Isn’t it fun watching the plot thicken?

At the Stowaway, Mr. Ryan payed Declan yet another visit, and this time gave him a card for a cleaning service. Declan, much like myself, wanted to know why he wanted to help him. He did rob him after all. But it’s simply because he wants his money back. Fair enough. But he also has always wanted to own a bar. Ah, that makes much more sense. In either regard, Jack agrees to talk.

Back at Emily’s, Amanda and the baby are getting situated. Em is prepping Amanda for when Kara comes and finally tells her the truth about what her mother tried to do to her. This is reason enough for Amanda to play along. And at least this time she doesn’t have to lie; she really doesn’t recognize her. Kara explains her actions and says her peace. It was a choice that both her and David made with Amanda’s best interests at heart. With Emily listening outside the door and crying, Amanda takes it upon herself to forgive her.  Speaking of forgiving, Emily finally told Amanda that Jack really is the father. Amanda returns the favor by apologizing for taking Jack and essentially creating the life Emily wanted.

Then just as you think all is calm and forgiven, you remember this is Revenge and Mason shows up on the porch. You see, when he was at the hospital he noticed a certain scar was missing from her back. Mason knows something is up. She may be a lot of things, but she isn’t really Amanda Clarke. And now someone else knows it.

Some leftovers: Why do you think Aidan is trying to destroy Nolan? Were you shocked Kara didn’t recognize Emily? What do you think getting remarried means for Victoria and Conrad?
