Revenge FINALLY returned last night after what felt like forever, and gave us some plot twists that should make the episodes leading up to the finale very intriguing. So lets dig in.

The episode revolved around Nolan and Emily trying to take down and ultimately expose The Falcon. The reason? She has somehow managed to erase the fact that Victoria really did have another son. Of course, Emily hears that as she’s doing the world’s most beneficial walk of shame ever. Guess that’s just an extra perk of sleeping with Daniel — aside from seeing him shirtless all the time.

With her sights literally set on Falcon, Emily is waiting for Nolan to finally be released from jail. Still a suspect in Padma’s death, the desire to catch The Falcon is stronger than ever. Luckily, they know exactly how to seek him out. They send an email to Victoria with the subject reading: Sloppy! Sloppy! Sloppy! Subtle, Subtle, sublte, guys! But naturally, it works. The Falcon takes the bait and Nolan is able to engage: they set up a meeting at whereelse? an arcade. This game is literally on. And if you didn’t know it from that, the little animated cartoon of Nolan shooting down a Falcon should definitely tip you off.

Elsewhere, Jack and Ashley are still trying to be the Hamptons newest Dynmaic Duo. Apparently this includes being all mother-like towards Carl. Seriously, Ashley needs to chill out. She’s been Daniel’s girlfriend, Conrad’s mistress, and now Jack’s substitute Amanda? She needs to do less. One thing they DID get right however, is find out that Conrad has been having secret meeting with the current mayor’s wife. Jack doesn’t think it’s an affair, but he knows something is happening behind the scenes. If only they had someone on the inside… cue Ashley doing what she does best. She shows up and approaches Conrad with a picture of him and Mrs. Mayor — looks like Ashley is back on Conrad’s payroll.

But why is he so willing? Well, his campaign took a major blow. You see, when Nolan finally met up with the Falcon we found out two things: one, he was a SHE, and two: she sucks at Street Fighter. Nolan kicked her ass with a KO. The deal was that if he won she had to insert his USB into her computer and help erase some things for him so the FBI wouldn’t still consider him a suspect. Unfortunately, her skills don’t extend past coding and she fell right into Nolan’s trap. The USB wasn’t full of information to erase, it gave him access to all her files. ALL of them. This includes the information that Victoria did in fact have a son, named Patrick, and this information was given exclusively to the woman who just happened to be interviewing the Graysons. Gotta love perfect timing. This led to Nolan getting the honor of crossing the Falcon, whose real name was Edith and ended up being in Emily’s infamous portrait of all her targets all along, off the list. I feel like this was the equivalent of Emily giving Nolan the “FL” half a “BFFL” friendship bracelet. Jokes aside, did anyone else feel like this takedown was too easy? Edith framed David Clarke and expunged numerous people’s records, yet took Nolan’s bait no questions asked. She was taken away by the FBI, but it still felt like this mission went way too smoothly.

Back over at the interview, the news anchor brings up Victoria’s past on live television, and Conrad “jumps” to Victoria’s defense. And when I say jumps, I mean his feet barely leave the ground. Victoria admits it’s true, all of it. She abandoned her six month old child for an internship at an art institute in Paris. She’s always had GREAT maternal instincts, don’t you think? Then, as if this interview wasn’t scoop-filled enough, Emily is asked to sit in on and it and is literally put on the spot. Does she see a wedding in her and Daniel’s future? Awkward question, but ever the diplomat, Emily tells the world that “the future is uncertain, but it would truly be an honor to be a part of the Graysons.” Daniel looks happy, but I’m not sure who looks more unpleased about this reveal: Victoria, or Jack who decided to make a guest appearance. Emily notices too because as the words leave her mouth, she sees the look on Jack’s face and you can tell she is upset she hurt him. Seems to be a trend, no?

It looks like Emily’s perception is right on point because Jack tells her he no longer wants her to be Carl’s godmother. He wants nothing to do with that family. I love this new and improved Jack. Unfortunately, these newfound smarts aren’t passed along to Declan. He may be trying to write his college essay, but he is the worlds dumbest boyfriend. Or Charlotte is the words worst girlfriend. She blew him off to make out with the girl she punched and then posed for a picture after telling Declan she was stuck in her room. Yeah, it’s definitely a toss up.

Also in a super questionable is Emily and Aiden. After her public acceptance of a future with Daniel, he shows up at her house and gives her her old ring back. Sweet or tacky? You decide. He tells her if she’s wearing it the next time he sees her he’ll take it as a sign they’re headed back to the altar. So who does she go to for advice? Her boyfriend. Aiden has been questioning their paths to revenge ever since he accomplished his mission. He sought vengeance on the man who killed his sister, but he doesn’t feel any better; he still hasn’t found peace. He even tells this to Takeda, who happens to be in town for a meeting with  Daniel, because he is still suspicious of Aiden. Yet despite it all, he tells Emily to be with Daniel. This is what she set out to do, break the Grayson’s from the inside out. So with the ring of another man on her finger, they make out.

The episode ended with Victoria seeking out Nolan with quite a deal. She’ll give Nolan sole control of his company again(um, can she do that?) if he does one thing for her: use his hacking skills to find her first-born son.

Some leftovers: Did anyone else think the takedown of the Falcon was too easy? Do you think something is blooming between Jack and Ashley? What is Conrad doing with the mayor’s wife? Should Emily wear the ring?
