The episode started with Emily showing up at a horse race after being invited by Pascal. She thanks him for the invite, but basically gets confirmation that he is in fact siding with Victoria. The two, after exchanging unpleasant pleasantries, are interrupted when Victoria sees a blast from her past: a man named Luke. After seeing their altercation, Emily knows they have a history, but doesn’t recognize him from all her research (read: that one photo). But it turns out, he did have a role in the Grayson’s past: he has evidence against them for the murder of David Clarke.

Cut to Emily’s  house where after looking at the infamous picture of all those involved in the murder of David Clarke, Aiden hands over the sharpie and it’s time to get down to business. First up: getting Luke to share what this evidence is. To do this, Emily turns to my new favorite sidekick of hers: Jack. He is more than willing to play, but it’s probably because he has a lot of time on his hands.

You see, Margot has been the world’s worst gf. She doesn’t ask how his mom is doing and the two have barely talked. Later in the episode Jack even tells her that she’s being blinded by the Grayson’s, but Margot finally has everything she wants. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the perfect man is going to be on that list for much longer.

While Jack and Emily plan their attack on Luke, the Hamptons other dynamic duo –  Nolan and Aiden – are searching for Oscar Chapman. Their first order of business is contacting a woman named Brenda Evans, and after finding her, she introduces herself by tazoring Nolan. We also learn very quickly a.k.a. after Aiden chases her and tackles her to the ground, that she is in fact a man — a man named Oscar Chapman. So why is he in hiding? Because he knows the truth about Trevor Mathis’ involvement in placing the bomb on the plane: he didn’t even know it was a bomb. Oscar however, drops a bomb of his own by telling Aiden that his dad didn’t commit suicide: he was murdered. Nolan and Aiden plead with him to finally come clean and tell the truth, and Oscar agrees to do it. So clearly this means, that he officially becomes a target. But to who?

Back over at the Graysons, Conrad sees Victoria in her new-love bliss so naturally he has to ruin it. He tells her that Pascal was involved in the murder of her beloved David Clarke, so naturally Victoria confronts him on it. He tells Victoria this is all part of Conrad’s plan to destroy them, so they agree they have to destroy him. But how? Well, it turns out Pascal recorded his and Conrad’s entire conversation after the bombing. Conrad points out that Pascal’s voice is on the tape too, but Pascal reminds him that he controls what the people hear; therefore he controls Conrad, too. Only we know that is not the case. However, Pascal does back up his game because he shows up at Oscar Chapman’s home and tells him what his problem is. He was too good of a journalist. And then he kills him.

Now back to Emily and Jack. She shows up at Luke’s asking for a job, and makes some okay progress, but it’s when Jack pretends to be a disgruntled customer that they really start to make some headway. Luke is an environmentalist, but is actually destroying everything he touches. He drinks vials of his own compounds to prove that the chemicals are actually harmless, but as Emily is able to confirm: it’s not actually chemicals. She’s able to jump to Luke’s defense after Jack ‘attacks Luke’s character’ and gets an invite to his event. It’s at this event, that Emily switches the vial with actual chemicals and exposes him for the fraud that he is. She’s also able to use this as leverage to get the evidence she wanted.

Speaking of getting what they wanted, Daniel and Margot pretty much have the deal with Javier reeled in. Between him sleeping with Charlotte, and giving him luxury cars, they’re making it pretty difficult for him to pass this opportunity up — even though it would mean screwing over Nolan. After learning this, Nolan is not happy and he declares war. Rookie mistake trying to screw over a genius.

Someone else who is getting smarter by the minute is Victoria. Turns out, she was the one who invited Luke to the Hamptons because she was testing a theory: she wanted to see if Emily would take an interest in him. When she does, she comes to a conclusion: Emily isn’t waging war on their family, it goes farther than that. It’s revenge for David Clarke.

Some leftovers: Did you think Pascal or Conrad would kill Oscar? Do you trust Daniel? What does this revelation mean for Victoria? Were you shocked the writers finally went there?
