On last night’s episode of Revenge we got the return of Mason Treadwell – but what does this mean for Emily’s plan? Let’s find out.

The episode started with Aiden having a nightmare about his father and still trying to figure out what the connection is between him and Pascal. He decides to go to a familiar face for help: his mother. He brings Emily along and introduces her as his fiance.

Elsewhere, Jack has something to celebrate: he and Margot got the house! The only problem is she’s too busy trying to make things happen at Voulez and Daniel is just complicating things. How? By basically telling Jack to not only watch his back, but his girl too. He starts to put his money where his mouth is after telling off Pascal for not seeing the incredible, beautiful, insert-more-positive-adjectives-here, daughter he raised. It works and Pascal decides to trust all of his businesses in Margot’s hands. BUT instead of going to tell Jack in their new home, she picks up a bottle of bubbly and goes to celebrate with Daniel instead.

Victoria on the other hand, is doing a little visiting herself to none other than Mason Treadwell. Treadwell basically says he will spill secrets but he wants something in return: freedom. After “showing his hand” to Victoria, he makes a phone call of his own to Emily. He tells her it’s time for her to hold up her end of the bargain and if she doesn’t show her cards, he’s going to show Victoria his. Game. Is. On.

Speaking of game, Charlotte is ready to play, too. After hearing the tail end of a conversation between Nolan and Jack with Emily, she starts to realize that maybe Daniel was right about them after all. Her next move? Recommending that Javier get in touch with Daniel and talk business. Then she literally makes some other moves on Javier.

Back over at the Mathis’, Emily learns some pieces to the puzzle when it comes to Aiden’s past. He was the one who discovered his father’s body after he committed suicide and Aiden never told his mom that Colleen is dead. Emily tells him that he has to let her know and give her some closure and he finally does. It’s not until Aiden realizes that he needs some closure himself that he finds another clue. In the shed where he used to spend all of his time with his father he finds a message that his dad carved into the wood. Is that like a thing? The fathers of Revengers leaving markings in wood for their kids? Either way, it’s the name Oscar Chapman –and it’s safe to say Aiden and Emily are ready to find out who that is.

Back over at the prison, Treadwell is doing his daily skin care regimen when he starts coughing, passes out, and is escorted out in a body bag. BUT he eventually comes to and realizes that the guy driving the car is Nolan, and he’s outside the prison gates. He is officially a free man.His death being fake is obviously not known to everyone, but Victoria makes sure Stevie knows that he is dead. The icing on the cake comes in the form of a vodka bottle. Jack shows up just in time to see his mother completely trashed and offers to get some help a.k.a. promising to get her as far away from the Graysons as possible.

The episode ended with Emily and Aiden learning that Oscar Chapman essentially pulled a Mason Treadwell. The world thinks he’s dead but he really just faked his own death — so they may be able to find him, and some more clues, after all.

Some leftovers: What do you think Oscar Chapman’s role is in all of this? Do you think this is the last we’ve seen of Treadwell? Do you trust Daniel and Margot’s relationship?
