The episode started with Victoria realizing more and more about Emily’s involvement in their lives. Her latest epiphany? That the incident on the boat during her and Daniel’s honeymoon was ultimately supposed to be her downfall, but luckily she had some other new to distract her: Pascal popped the question and good ‘ol Vicky Harper says yes. Let’s dig in!

Unfortunately for Pascal, the honeymoon phase of the engagement is short-lived. He is kidnapped by Aiden in – broad daylight I might add – and brought to Agent Rebecca Stone a.k.a. Emily pretending to be a member of homeland security. The act is kind of genius.  Pascal already knew Emily was trying to get dirt on the Graysons, but now she is just giving him a more legitimate  reason why.

Elsewhere, Charlotte is looking for her own answers. After receiving a letter and looking at the handwriting, she believes in her heart of hearts that the letter is from her father. The only problem as we all know, is that David Clarke is in fact dead. So she brings it up to her mother, who of course dismisses it as someone playing a cruel joke on her. So she turns to someone else: Jack. She fills him in on what happened and also lets us know that she found two additional letters that Victoria had kept hidden. Charlotte doesn’t know why she would lie to her, but really hopes that Jack and stories he remembers from Amanda will be able to help.

Back over in interrogation room, Pascal makes a confession. He actually does not have any evidence against the Graysons. So Emily gives him the opporunity to find some in what’s basically an ultimatum. He’s to wear a wire and the Voulez/Javier’s App launch and get a confession from the Graysons. He’ll do this, or she’ll go after Margot. He agrees to give them Conrad, but refuses to do anything to harm his beautiful new fiance. Emily gives him a card with a number for him to call once the deed is done and we can consider the deal made.

With this new deadline upon him, Pascal decides it’s best for him and Victoria to flee the country start over somewhere new. After he comes home, Victoria can tell something is off, so after he goes into the shower, being the super trustworthy person that she is, snoops around his pockets and finds the number on the card. It goes to voicemail and Victoria realizes that Pascal is in trouble with the ‘government’.So Victoria goes to the only man she can trust lately, Daniel.

Elsewhere, Jack and Charlotte are road-tripping to their very own cabin in the woods. After seeing how distraught Charoltte was, Jack asked Nolan to track the letters and they learned that they came from a Mr. Kurt Renner. Up in the cabin, they find a lot of books and letters  — clearly someone is very interested in the David Clarke case. This pops the balloon of hope that has been filling Charlotte from the beginning of the episode so the two leave. However, before they do Jack notices a ring on the table that you can tell looks familiar to him so he takes it. Just as they leave a man walks out of the bathroom and little does Jack know that he follows them back to The Stowaway. One thing we do know? The ring in question has the initials D. C. on it.

Back in the Hamptons, it’s time for Javier’s launch party! Emily and Nolan show up and Nolan finds out he’s not on the guest list. Luckily, he’s on the hardware so the two walk on in just fine. The first thing Emily does is congratulate Victoria on the engagement. She knows they never saw eye-to-eye,but she’s happy it finally seems like she’s getting what she deserved. Little does she know how true that statement will be.

As Javier puts his new technology on display, Nolan’s own revengenda is put on display as well. He completely sabotages the program and humiliates Javier, Margot, and Daniel, in one fell swoop. While Margot is trying to play damage control to that, Emily notices that Pascal is making his move on Conrad. The only problem? They’re not going the right way — and Emily isn’t the only one who noticed. Victoria sees them going off together, too, and decides to run after them as well. But where are they going? Turns out, Conrad has a helicopter waiting on the roof.

As Emily runs up the stairs she gets there just in time to see the two of them arguing but can’t hear anything due to the sound of the propellars. Although she can’t hear what they’re saying, she can see just fine. She can see so clearly that she watches as Conrad pushes Pascal into the propellers and just like that Pascal is officially out of the picture. Emily runs away before anyone sees her, and escapes the scene just as Victoria enters and completely breaks down. Once again Conrad has ruined her happily ever after.

With the news of Pascal’s death settling, Daniel is in double-comfort mode. He’s trying to console Margot, who lost her father, but was simultaneously made the new CEO of the family business. Then there’s his mother. Before leaving Victoria he leaves her with this: if the feds were really after Pascal, where are they now? It’s a question Victoria hadn’t thought of, but after hearing it re-dials the number she found in Pascal’s pocket. The number is now disconnected. You can consider Victoria intrigued.

The episode ended with Emily more determined than ever to take down Conrad. She has a plan but she’s not sure she can go through with it. Cut to Charlotte walking aimlessly down the beach, as someone comes up behind her and kidnaps her and leaves us all wondering:  is this Emily’s plan?

Some leftovers: were you shocked that Conrad killed Pascal? Who do you think is responsible for kidnapping? Emily? Kurt Renner? Who do you think Kurt Renner is?
