Revenge aduction image

On the latest episode of Revenge, we found out what Malcom’s game-plan was all along and found out the next step in the series of events towards Revenge.

The episode kicked off with both Emily and Victoria regaining consciousness and realizing they are trapped in a cage…together. As Emily looks to try and figure their way out, Victoria says what some viewers were thinking: who would have thought that the two of them would die together? Cue Malcom entering the premises to set his plan in motion. Part one is already starting as we cut back to the Hamptons and watch as David realizes that Emily is gone and that Malcom is most likely the one who took her.

With Emily missing, Jack is on the case and he’s able to enlist the help of Ben. Ben is still a little weary of doing anything to help Emily after all she lied about and all the damage she’s caused, but as we eventually learn, he spent some time undercover. So, he’s in no way trying to compare his situation to what Emily has been going through, but he knows how hard it is to continually push people away and lie..so whatever it is she’s doing, he knows that it has to be for a good reason. It also seems to be enough for the two to agree to have a fresh start..but will this lead to a romance? There definitely did seem to be a bit of a spark.

Back over to where Emily and Victoria are being held hostage, Malcom finally gives David a call. He wants to make a trade: a daughter for a daughter. Naturally, David agrees but Malcom isn’t that stupid. He wants proof that Kate is alive. Luckily for him, Jack has picked up on a few things from Nolan and was able to ‘copy and paste’ pieces of Kate’s conversation with him and give Malcom the impression she was still alive. The meeting to exchange daughter’s has officially been set!

Back in a less dangerous part of the Hamptons, but just as crazy, we finally meet Louise’s mother! And this time, she’s not just in her imagination —she’s really there. We find out that the way her conservatorship works with her money is that her family controls it until she gets married, so plot twist: Louise gets married! Who’s her lucky new husband? Lady, married up! She’s officially Louise Ross. Yup, that’s right, she married Nolan. The two think they’ve beat the system, but we soon learn that Nolan is legally bound to more than he bargained for. How? Well, Louise may no longer be taking her pills and so the hallucinations have stopped, but her no longer taking the pills is also going to allow her to remember something else: Louise apparently killed her father.

Jack on the otherhand is seeing everything clearly. After putting some of the pieces together, he returns home to check on Ben’s progress and finds him tied up. Luckily he sees one of Malcom’s sidekicks  in a reflection and is able to knock him unconscious and it’s then that Jack sees a message from Emily, it’s a map like the ones they used to draw when they were younger. Ben realizes that the map is coal, and Hampton’s latest Hardy Boys are officially on their way.

But they’re not the only ones settling into their plans. Margot is ready to put her own into action. She’s hired someone to take Emily down..and it should be easy seeing as Emily did in fact commit the crime; she just needs someone to find some evidence. Victoria eventually tells her that it’s not possible, Emily would never leave any traces behind, but Margot makes it clear her journey of exacting revenge on Emily has officially begun. But do we really care enough to root for her to do it? That remains to be seen.

The episode ends with Malcom realizing that David lied and wants to kill Emily: an eye for an eye. Just as he starts to attack her, Victoria steps up to save her. It’s a strange move and one that shocks even David. Victoria could careless though..especially since she found out that David had been intending to kill her all along. She agrees to let him have his time with his daughter, and she’s going to formally grieve her son. Finally. But David almost has to join her in grieving their child’s loss when Emily is almost thrown into an incinerator. Luckily, Jack comes to her rescue and helps save the day, and Emily is thankful but not enough to kiss him. Sigh. Am I the only one still rooting for that?

Some leftovers: What do you think the future holds with Ben and Emily? Do you care that Margot is looking to exact her own revenge on Emily? Is anyone else Team Jack?
