Last night’s #Revenge led Emily to finally consider the question fans have been wondering for a long time: is it time to officially put a stop to her vengenance? But above all, will she do it? Let’s dig in.

The episode picked up where the last left off: with Jack seperated from Carl. Luckily for Carl he’s got a badass godmother, but Em is gonna have to work on her babysitting skills. She dozes off with Carl at the table and has a flashback of her getting seperated from David when the FBI barged into their beach house so long ago. When David enters the house to relieve Emily from babysitting duties, he’s aware of what this scenario must have triggered for her, but Emily assures him she’s fine, she just has to be at the courthouse to find out what’s happening with Jack’s bail hearing.

At the courthouse we learn that the lab lost the blood sample that Jack requested at the scene Conveinent. The sample is the only evidence that proves that he wasn’t drinking so basically, Jack is gonna need a good lawyer. Luckily for him, Emily made a call and got him one that he knows relatively well: his mother, Stevie. He tells his mom the truth, that he didn’t have a drop of alcohol and she believes him. After all, she of all people knows what it would look like to hide your drinking. Ultimately, the court lets Jack go from this initial bail hearing, but it’s only with the understanding that a social worker will be evaluating his status as a father. The social worker isn’t all that impressed with Jack’s paternal instinct and choices. One thing the social worker does eventually become impressed with? Nolan. Sparks were flying.

Anyway, back at the courthouse when Jack’s bail decision is made, Margot leaves the courtroom and Emily chases after her. She tries to let Margot know that this issue is between the two of them, and to leave Jack out of it, but Margot points out that she’s the one who started all this. So whatever ends up happening to Jack, will be on Emily’s hands, not hers.

Elsewhere in the Hamptons, Louise is still keeping up the act that Lyman is upstairs in bed sleeping off a hangover. But the act is cut short when Ben and his partner show up at the house bearing some bad news: a body was found on the cliffs and they were able to ID it as Lyman. Louise is finally able to let out some of her grief, but you can tell Ben isn’t fully buying it. He makes it a point to mention that he knwos the two had a dynamic history, but Nolan assures him that if anyone had a problem with Lyman it was him, not Louise. Eventually though, Louise finally fesses up to Nolan about what really happened with Lyman and Nolan takes it in stride, I guess having Emily as your best friend prepares you for stuff like that, right?

Back over to Jack’s case, Stevie, who now knows that Emily is really Amanda Clarke, Emily and Nolan are all trying to figure out how Jack blew above the legal limit when all he had was orange juice that night. You watch as the lightbulbs go off and they realize that someone must have spiked his drink. So Nolan pulls up the security footage, and lo and behold there’s a man (aka Margot’s sidekick) who seems to have tampered with his drink. Emily recognizes him from court earlier in the day, and she’s ready to go pay him a little visit. When she gets there, the two fight and Emily tries to force him to admit that he’s working for Margot, but he does something better: he hands over the blood sample that could clear Jack of all charges. Now, all Emily has to do is get it into the right hands—and by that, I mean Ben’s hands. Ben is a little skeptical at first, he is trying to move up in the ranks at the station, but eventually he agrees to help.

So, as Jack’s trial begins, Stevie tries to enter the blood sample back into evidence, but the judge is simply not having it. His mom gets a little aggitated at the fact and the judge holds her in contempt of court. Luckily for her, someone is able to post her bail: David. If you remember, Stevie had tried to help David back in the day when he needed it, so he wanted to return the favor. So as the two bond over getting second chances with their kids, Stevie realizes that the judge really did act a little strange in court today—she acted like she had another agenda. Turns out, she does. She’s the one who is in Margot’s back pocket. After doing a little googling, they realize she just got a couple of notable endorsements bribes from Margot’s publishing companies. With this realization we know that it’s time for the judge to pay.

But before we get to that, let’s spend a little more time talking about Margot. She has a doctor’s appointment and Victoria is right there by her side. They hear the heartbeat for the first time and it’s a really bittersweet moment. Victoria also lets Margot know that the wing that she is building in memory of Daniel is ready to be put in front of the board and just needs to get enough votes for official approval. She also lets Margot know that it’s the perfect time to announce her pregnancy to the world. We later learn that the wing didn’t get enough votes and Victoria realizes a familiar name on the list: Emily Thorne. Naturally, she thinks it’s Emily looking to continue her sabotage, but Emily tells Victoria she will never forget that Daniel gave his life for her, and it’s precisely why she voted yes for the plan. Turns out, it was Margot who voted no because she realized that announcing her pregnancy with the unveiling of the wing would cast a shadow on her child’s life before it even begins. Ultimately though, the two do want the same thing (to restore Daniel’s name), so she agrees to vote yes but will keep the preganancy to herserlf for now.

So now back to the judge. After the trial, the judge is dining at the club, and Nolan tries to over her a gift bottle of wine, but she decides to stick with water. Little does she know that the water was laced with the same thing Jack’s OJ was spiked with. The judge gets pulled over after Ben ‘received a call from a concerned citizen’ of someone driving dangerously. She insists she wasn’t drinking so agrees to a sobreity test where she blows a .15. As she’s trying to figure out what’s going on, she gets a call from Lady Justice, aka Emily, who tells her to test Jack’s blood and remove the chargers against him or her bribes from Margot’s publishing company will be exposed. This is a lady who still wants to have a career so she does.

As the news of Jack being cleared is felt by everyone, they are ready to celebrate, but Emily says she has something to do. David knows that she’s going to ‘take care’ of Margot and that she doesn’t have to do this. She saved Jack and Carl from going through what the two ofthem went through. She may not have started this war with margot, but she does have the ability to finish it. So will she?

Well, we get to see Emily find Margot in the city and propose a truce. This has gone far enough and they’ve both lost people they loved, she’s ready to put an end to it so they can protect the people they still have left. Understandably, Margot isn’t inclined to take Emily at her word so Emily tries to extend an olive branch: her real birth certificate. She tells Margot she can either use it as a weapon or use it as assurance that Emily is telling the truth. The gesture isn’t enough for Margot as she still wants her to come clean about everything to restore Daniel’s name and then if that wasnt enough, she gets hit by a taxi.

The episode ends with Margot being rolled into the hospital on a gurney and Victoria running in seeing if her daughter is okay. Emily tells Victoria it was an accident and she was trying to end this whole thing, but Victoria isn’t buying it. If Emily is there, there are no accidents. Emily returns home and breaks down into her father’s arms, and when Margot finally comes to in the hospital she finds Victoria by her bed. Fortunately, Margot is going to be fine, unfortuantely, we learn that she lost the baby. So with Victoria consoling her she asks Margot to tell her the truth about what happened. Margot starts off doing just that and then right when she gets to the part about the taxi she tells Victoria that Emily pushed her. Such a bold move. So now Victoria blames Emily for not just the death of her son, but the death of her grandchild. Yeah, things are not looking good.

Some leftovers: Were you shocked that Margot told such a bold lie to Victoria? Do you think Ben is gonna face some reprucussions for being involved? Do you think Louise is in the clear about her brother’s death?
