Last night’s episode of Revenge dealt with the five stages of grief. Denial. Anger. Bargaining. Depression. And acceptance. While we all clearly know Emily is taking her grief out in a whole different way, the episode ended with us wondering if we’d be doing some grieving ourselves for one of our favorite characters! Lets dig in.

With the whole discovery of the ‘White haired man’, Emily is making it her mission to find him. Luckily for her, he paid Conrad a visit which she could see because, lets face it, she has every place in the Hamptons bugged. Now that she knows they’re still in contact, she devises a plan to make the two meet again. She has Nolan encrypt footage of her and Daniel sleeping to make Conrad think White Haired Man is trying to threaten them and lo and behold, it works. They plan to meet in Brooklyn, so Em gets ready to trek it out to NY.

Unfortunately, her plans are put on hold because Daniel and Ashley need to do some planning for their wedding extravaganza. Emily makes it a point to tell Daniel that this isn’t what she wants. Doesn’t he know her at all? Well, no Emily he doesn’t. That’s kind of the point of the whole show, no? But he tells her as a Grayson he has to uphold the family name. So, Emily asks Nolan to go and spends the majority of her wedding planning answering texts from him. Daniel and Ashely end up leaving, and so does Em..for NY.

Victoria is also doing some plotting of her own. Why isn’t Conrad in prison yet? So, taking matters into her own hands, she pays Conrad a visit. But in reality she’s paying Conrad and her ex-besite Lydia a visit. Awkward! Victoria paid particular attention to a certain painting. She knows the portrait is fake, so she questions why he still has it. The solution: cut that bad boy open. In it she finds a box of incriminating evidence for all involved. What’s the saying, a picture’s worth a thousand words? Well, in this case thousands of dollars probably applies too. Victoria offers Lydia some protection if she sides with her, but when Conrad returns home to see his painting destroyed, and evidence gone, Lydia tells him she tried to stop her. Do we believe her?

Back at the Stowe-Away, Jack is dealing with a few things himself. He had already got some hush money ‘do good money’ courtesy of Daniel to keep his mouth shut. Adding insult to injury, he realizes Sammy has gone missing and makes it his mission to find his beloved pup.

When Emily finally makes it to NY, she learns that Nolan is once again protecting her. He dressed up as a cable guy and went to the White Haired Man’s house pretending to fix the cable box. We learn that he really was just putting in video surveillance. We are not the only ones suspicious, White Haired Man definitely is too. Either way, Nolan leaves and when he’s home gets an unpleasant phone call from Emily. She’s interrupted when she sees Sammy lying on her porch and hangs up to call Jack.

This is where you may need a tissue. Who knew a scene about a dog dying could be so emotionally draining? What is this Marley & Me? The thing is, the moment was so much bigger than that. In that moment, she was Amanda again. So as Jack says good-bye, Emily is comforting him and lost in her past, the two kiss! While you may let out a silent cheer, the fact that Ashley was conveniently lurking in the shadows made you stifle that right up.

Back over at the Grayson’s Daniel confronts Victoria about the way she’s been behaving. The family had a group therapy session for Charlotte and per usual there were fireworks. Daniel tells his mom that if she goes through with whatever she has planned for Conrad, she’s dead to him. And because of her strangely infatuated relationship with her son, she obliges and turns over the evidence. She’s hoping he’ll do the right thing with it, but the first thing he does is call Conrad. Victoria isn’t pleased, but someone who is? Emily. This evidence is now in her home.

The evening’s events cause Charlotte to turn to Declan for support. Too bad she has terrible timing and Declan isn’t alone. It really isn’t what she thinks it is, but it makes her turn back to her other friend: drugs.

Lastly, back at his house Nolan is kick backed and relaxed admiring his handy work when he notices that the time on the many clocks in White Haired Man’s house isn’t right. He’s not watching a live feed. Unfortunately he realizes a little too late and is grabbed from behind and strangled leaving us all wondering if we will be grieving one of our favorites.

Some leftovers: Were you happy Jack and Emily finally kissed? What do you think Daniel will do with the evidence? What do you think is Nolan’s fate?
