Last night’s episode of Revenge is bringing us answers to the very reasons we started watching in the first place. Yep, last night we got the full reveal of what happened on the beach that infamous night of the Fire and Ice party. In an episode appropriately titled ‘Scandal’ there was that and then some. Plus a lot of Emily’s signature vengeful stare. So let’s dig in.

With Tyler being found dead on the beach, and the blood literally on Daniel’s hands, it had everybody playing the old-fashioned game of ‘who don’ it? Well, all signs pointed to Daniel as we saw everyone being interrogated on his whereabouts. After telling the detective he doesn’t remember what happened, Daniel is finally released and chooses to go home with Emily only after he has a few words with his mother.

When Emily and Daniel return home, he tells her to go take Jack’s dog for a walk and when she returns she finds him looking at a box underneath that infamous floorboard. Luckily, Em stashed it away last episode, but the fact that Daniel is suspicious is never a good thing.

Emily also finds out that the fake Amanda Clarke never left, and that Jack is in fact not half-way to Haiti. Yeah, Nolan slacked on that one. Speaking of Jack, Declan eventually puts two and two together when Jack arrives home with an entire window of his night unexplained. Declan eventually finds Jack’s hoodie, the one Charlotte and he noticed, with evidence still on it. He promises to protect him. Speaking of Charlotte, she’s still popping pills to try and deal with all of the news. First her dad isn’t really her dad, and now her brother’s a potential murderer? Geez.

Helping to deal with all the chaos is Ashley, who is turning out to be quite the little PR consultant. Graciously handling the press, and helping to take care of all the pictures that are swarming the internet, which we later find out from Nolan was all her doing. Hm, maybe that will earn him some points back with Emily.

While the detective is still going around asking questions, Victoria and Conrad are trying to put up a united front. A fact that’s made difficult since this particular detective is back from their ‘when-we-framed-David-Clark’ days. Awkward. But nonetheless in true Grayson fashion, Victoria has her mind set that Amanda Clark is responsible. Too bad she, Emily, Nolan, Jack or the whole Police Department can’t find her.  What was found though was a receipt for money wiring to Montreal by Jack. And boy does he want answers.

So back to the whole question of who shot Tyler, well it was Satoshi Takeda. Trying to yet again help Emily clean up her mess, he told her to hide her box ‘o’ vengeance, knocked out Daniel (explains him not remembering) and shot Tyler two more times in the back. Ya know, for good measure. Daniel’s detective figured out that there may be another person at play while interrogating Daniel because of where his injuries were. Another thing the detective found out? The whole Grayson’s paying off the girl who Daniel got paralyzed thing. Who told them? Emily.

In either regard Daniel is pulled out of Emily’s house in handcuffs, deja vu much? Last time that happened it was her father! And Daniel’s case isn’t looking good. Security tapes from the Fire and Ice party were set on a 3 minute loop leaving Daniel unaccounted for, thanks to Nolan working for Takeda? Wait, what? Yep. Emily’s protectors are just so loyal.

Speaking of loyal, that judge sure was to the law. Stating pointblank that money has no influence in her courtroom, denying him bail and wait for it, shipping Daniel off to Rikers. He’s way too good looking for that. Emily’s face however when he’s getting dragged out of the courtroom, was that satisfaction or concern? I guess time, 25 to life maybe? will tell.

Does Emily really care for Daniel? Were you shocked that Takeda pulled the trigger? What are Ashley’s true intentions?
