The episode starts with Daniel still in his trial and the Grayson’s still trying to figure out how to instill some reasonable doubt in the jurors. With lots of pawns in the game that is Emily’s Revenge, some major moves and revelations were made. So, lets dig in!

During Daniel’s trial, Brooks, the lawyer, notices that one of the jurors has already made up her mind. And thanks to a bug she placed in the study, Emily overhears exactly what Victoria plans to do about that. Cue Victoria’s favorite pawn, Lee Moran, posing as room service in the juror’s hotel and threatening to harm her son if she doesn’t get the trial acquitted or a hung jury. Well, that’s one way to do it.

Nolan reminds Emily that if she brings this to the courts attention that the Grayson’s have been tampering with the jurors, Daniel could go to jail. She says she doesn’t care, that’s what she came to do. What she does care about is protecting Jack.

Speaking of, Jack is till searching for Amanda. While traveling, he sees on the news that Declan recanted his testimony, and his brotherly instinct kicks in and returns home to protect him. He tells Declan he can’t lie on the stand, and despite his lecture, and a late night visit from Charlotte decked out in a nightie and heels, lies on the stand anyway. Declan tries to salvage his relationship with Charlotte by shouting she’s a good person, but yeah, airing out her dirty laundry in court..there’s just no coming back from that. Jack ends up getting subpoenaed, and finally reveals to Nolan the piece of evidence he’s been withholding: the bloody sweatshirt. After pretending to get him some legal advice, and really calling Emily who tells him to get Jack out of the house so she can do her thing. She steals the sweatshirt and makes it look like they were robbed.

When she returns home, she has a surprise visitor, Daniel. Which is interesting because you know, the whole being on house arrest thing. He starts bombarding her with questions, doubting her love for him, and accusing her of having an affair with Jack. In his defense, he did witness him sneaking out earlier and she was ignoring his calls. Amid their fight the cops come and Daniel is brought back into jail.

Here’s where the genius mind of Emily Thorne, and by that I mean of the the writers, come in. With Daniel back in prison, and the evidence in her possession, somewhere along the way she makes a pit-stop. Cue Lee Moran about to get his car when the police make him stop due to an amber alert. While searching the car what do you think they find? The hoodie. In one motion she protected Jack, exonerated Daniel, and put Lee in a super interesting position. Even better? Since he was the one who beat up Jack, the fact that Jack’s blood is on the hoodie just further implicates Lee.

He makes a call to Victoria from his jail cell telling her that if he’s going down, they’re coming with him. Conrad overhears and is forced to clean up the mess she made. While all this is happening, Daniel is writing a letter to Emily apologizing and saying he’s going to put an end to all this. Cue Brooks walking down the corridor at the prison and you see feet hanging. But don’t worry it’s not Daniel. Whew! It’s Lee Moran who committed suicide. Or so we think. The episode ends with Emily listening to a conversation of Conrad and an identified man telling him they have another ‘David Clark Situation.’ This is where Emily puts the pieces together. Her father wasn’t stabbed by an inmate. The Grayson’s didn’t just betray her father. They were the ones who murdered him.

Some leftovers: How good of a move was it to put the hoodie in Lee’s car? Did you think it was Daniel who killed himself? What did you think of the confirmation that the Grayson’s were in fact the murderers?
